World without Wars and Violence (WwW) is a social movement whose objective is the creation of a worldwide nonviolent consciousness.

This new consciousness is the necessary step towards a world free of violence, not only in its cruellest form of wars and physical violence, but also free from economic, racial, religious, sexual, psychological, and moral violence.

In particular, WwW works for:

  • the complete elimination of nuclear weapons
  • the proportional and progressive disarmament of conventional weapons
  • the withdrawal of all invading armies of occupation
  • the renunciation by governments of the use of war as a means of resolving conflicts

Because we know that as individuals we are not separate from the violence in the world around us, we also place great emphasis on the personal level, working to deepen the understanding and practice of nonviolence in our own lives.

In short, we believe in active (creative and strong!) nonviolence, and simultaneous personal and social change.
